- In 1978 the Fire Dispatch system for all of Stanislaus County was
different.
- Dispatchers only dispatched 4,000 calls annually.
- Dispatchers also answered a majority of the 911 calls.

- Today approximately 60,000 calls are being dispatched annually.

- The concept of Fire Frequency Sharing has been a process that has been
on the works for many years.
- A collaborative effort by all agencies Stanislaus County is imperative
to the success of Fire Frequency Sharing.
- Implementation will take place on November 7, 2007 at 07:00 hours.
